I am Patrina de Silva, a psychologist and mental health blogger in Sri Lanka. I obtained my undergraduate degree in psychology from the University of Colombo, later pursuing a master’s degree in counseling psychology at Monash University in Australia.

After completing my studies, I returned to Sri Lanka and began working as a counselor at a local community health center. Driven by my passion for destigmatizing mental health issues, I started a blog called “Mind Matters” where I provide tips and advice on common psychological problems.

Over the past decade, my blog has become one of the most widespread mental health resources in Sri Lanka. I write on topics like anxiety, depression, relationships, self-esteem, and more. My articles are known for their empathy, actionable advice, and accessible writing style.

In addition to blogging, I maintain a small private practice where I provide counseling services. I specialize in cognitive behavioral therapy and take a holistic approach to mental health.

I strongly believe in giving back to the community. I frequently conduct free mental health seminars and volunteer to counsel at-risk youth.

With my compassionate approach and commitment to public education, I have become an influential voice in mental health. Though juggling a busy professional life, I remain dedicated to destigmatizing mental illness and helping people understand the mind-body connection.
